Bexley Aquatics

Bexley Aquatics started as a dream by two hobbyist’s way back in January 2006. We finally found a site that was suitable at Bexley garden centre where we are now situated. We started work on the outside area in November 2009 in 4 inches of snow and freezing conditions.

The building that we now occupy was formerly an old overgrown greenhouse which was knocked down in order to make way for the new structure. Once the new building was erected and the solid concrete base was laid we could start to construct the interior.

We run Casco systems for the fish with each bay being 110 gallons on central sumps. We have 9 of these systems in place consisting of 1 marine bays, 2 coldwater bays and 6 tropical bays. In addition to this we have an outdoor pond and 5 display vats with plans for more in the future

For the reptile side of things we currently have 45 (currently we are building more) display vivarium’s which contain an array of animals from lizards, tortoises and turtles, snakes, frogs and toads. Between us we have over 30 years experience of both reptiles and fish.

We also offer an animal courier service which runs every two weeks. Our courier has everything needed on the van so you can order your animal from us and then sit back and wait for it to arrive safe and sound. Regular checks are done to ensure that the correct temperatures are being met and that the animal has water. Prices for this service are as follows-

England. Most of England is £45. Please check this at time of ordering.

Scotland. Most of Scotland is £75. Please check this at time of ordering.

Ireland and Eire. This is adhoc- Price will be advised at time of ordering.

We are also able to ship most items and animals to Hamm in Germany. Price will depend on Item/ animal ordered and their needs and or space in the vehicle.
